What is going on with the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services????????
Why does USCIS have time to post tweets but are taking so long with their procedures? The United States Citizenship and Immigration Services is making citizens mad and impatient because their process for any service is taking longer than usual. When the pandemic started, USCIS fell behind with accomplishing its applications. Over 200,00 Green cards have been wasted over the past few years because of the pandemic delay. USCIS has millions of cases that were stopped, and people do not like the idea. USCIS is very active on social media platforms, especially Twitter; people are complaining about this. When USCIS tweets, they receive negative comments from people like, “Why are you guys posting instead of working on cases.” People are currently demanding USCIS to work harder to get the citizens from Ukraine their asylum documentation. Today USCIS tweeted in respect of staffing. Their tweet stated the following “We’re hiring asylum officers nationwide! Make an impact in the lives of asylum seekers while maintaining the integrity of the U.S. immigration system by joining USCIS.” Of course, people started commenting on this post, demanding USCIS that hopefully, they can finally do their job by hiring more people. What will USCIS do this time to fix their problem?

I agree that it is rather odd that USCIS is promoting its services as they're falling behind in case completion. Though the article attached claims that they completed 80% of their workload last year, the new year saw 8 million pending cases still waiting to be processed. And by their public job posting, it seems as if they're struggling with the growing numbers of cases. Hopefully they can grow their workforce and increase case completion rates for 2022!
